On Going Projects

Here is a brief overview of the projects that we are currently undertaking. If you would like to help out in any way, we’d love to hear from you. Be sure to take a look at any fundraising challenges we may be undertaking or simply check out our Donate page.

Construction of teachers accommodation for Itagutwa Primary School

The building started in 2016 and is expected to be completed before the end of this year. We received donations from various sources including a fantastic group of French volunteers, UK Adventure Aid and three individual volunteers who joined our project through Original Volunteers.

School Bags

This project started in 2013. We receive and distribute school bags from an English charity called School in a Bag. So far, working with the charity, we have been able to help more than 4,000 children in more than 40 schools spread throughout Iringa, Tanzania

School Uniforms Project

To date, 300 children have benefited from this project. We receive funding from different sources to run this project where we help identify children from very poor families and provide them with a shirt and a skirt/short and in some cases and a pair of shoes. This is essential to go to school in Iringa.
